Varisu (Heir at Law) is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action drama directed by Vamshi Pedipalli, who wrote it with Hari and Ashishwar Sulaiman. Produced concertedly by Dil Raju and Suresh under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Playhouses, the film stars Vijay, R Sarath Kumar, Srikanth, Sham, Rashmika Mandana, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha, Prakash Raj, Ganesh Venkatraman and Others include Summons. It focuses on a businessman's youthful son being named president of his father's business, essential to the dismay of his two sisters. 

 

The film was blazoned in September 2021 under the conditional title Thalapathy 66, as it's Vijay's 66th film in the supereminent part. star photography began in April 2022 and ended in December. The film was shot substantially in Chennai and Hyderabad, with sporadic schedules in Visakhapatnam, Ballari, and Ladakh. Music was composed by Thaman S, cinematography was handled by Karthik Palani and editing was done by Praveen KL. Despite the sweat of the directors, the film suffered from several leaks during the production. 

 

Varisu was released in theaters worldwide on 11 January 2023 during the week of Pongal and entered mixed reviews from critics.
