Last minute 10 good news from Erdogan about the earthquake zone :

President Erdogan spoke at the turnkey ceremony of the disaster village houses, whose construction was completed. President Erdogan announced that they will put forward a new model with the Smart Village House project for farmers.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the delivery ceremony of the village houses, the construction of which was completed in Gaziantep's Nurdagi district, following the earthquakes that occurred on 6 February. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli, HUDAPAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapicioglu, Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum also attended the ceremony held in Belpınar village.

In his speech, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan started by congratulating the people who attended the ceremony and said that the holiday was a sad one due to the wounds inflicted on the hearts by the earthquakes. Emphasizing that the country's rulers should be prepared for disasters by building strong buildings, not blocking streams, and living in harmony with nature, President Erdogan said, "The rest is the will of our Lord.

We rolled up our sleeves right after the last disaster. On the 15th day of the earthquake, we constructed the foundations and began construction in order to relocate our employees to safe structures. In accordance with our plans, we are constructing 650 thousand new dwellings in the seismic zone, 507 thousand of which are residences and 143 thousand of which are village buildings. We intend to rebuild our cities by providing 319 thousand of them in a year.

In fact, on each of my recent travels to the earthquake zone, we had groundbreaking ceremonies for our new dwellings and village houses in each of our cities. So far, we have begun the construction of almost 105 thousand dwellings. We've already established the groundwork for approximately half of them. We don't only build houses. With its school, health facility, bazaar, market, green area, and park, we are creating entirely new living places. We are once again repairing the infrastructure of not only the earthquake-damaged areas but also of all of our cities in the region. We consider both jobs and housing while building small industrial locations. By Allah's grace, we will succeed in the largest housing and urban planning campaign in the Republic's past," he declared.

So far, we have started the construction process of more than 105 thousand houses. We have laid the groundwork for almost half of them.

'In five years, we hope to have no dangerous structures in Istanbul.'

Stating that they have healed the wounds of the previous disasters, Erdogan stated that they aim to not leave risky buildings with urban transformation in Istanbul, and said:

"You know, in many earthquakes, floods, and fires, we have brought together our residents to new people in a short period of period." I think we can do the same thing here. Was this something we did in Van? Did anything similar happen in Bingol? This has occurred in Antalya, Manavgat, and Mula. 

Did we actually accomplish it? 

We alerted our country about a new urban redevelopment initiative. We made an offer to our Istanbul brothers and sisters who live in dangerous buildings: half of the cost of transformation would be covered by the state, and the other half will be financed with extremely attractive conditions.

We aim not to leave any risky buildings in Istanbul in 5 years by transforming 300 thousand residences per year with a study to be carried out, some of which will be carried out in reserve areas."

Erdogan then watched the images of urban transformation and disaster housing from the television installed in the area, together with the attendees of the ceremony.

Continuing his speech by criticizing CHP chairmain Kemal Kilicdarglu and CHP mayors, Erdogan said :

There was mud and 39 of our citizens died as a result of the explosion of the famous Umraniye garbage dump. Now CHP, it was in the metropolitan city, it was in the district. We have now turned them into parks and gardens."

'We give 10 new good news to the farmer'

Stating that they will continue to work without allowing anyone to prevent them until they make all settlements in the country resistant to disasters and giving good news to farmers, President Erdogan continued:

 On the 60th anniversary of our initial foundation, we hand over the keys to ten village cottages that we built in 45 days. I wish the beneficiaries well with these village cottages, which are truly exquisite works of architecture, construction, and all other aspects. Today, we also provide our farmers with ten fresh pieces of excellent news. Yes. First and foremost, there are smart village homes with barns, village mansions, smart boards, mosques, and landscapes that are all original architectural works.

 We present the samples to the appreciation of our nation. With this project, we are introducing a new model with advanced infrastructure, internet-supported technology, renewable energy, zero waste application, herd management system, integrated meteorology software and many more. 

'We are establishing a factory in Zonguldak'

Stating that natural gas is extracted from the Black Sea and connected to the land, Erdogan said, "How is it good? Now we are establishing a factory in Zonguldak that will provide urea from the Black Sea gas. What do Mr Kemal and his followers say? You know, they say natural gas would come out of the Black Sea. They have hearts, my dear brothers, it is definitely sealed.

'We don't come here to look like earthquake tourists'

Stating that life started to return to its normal course after the earthquake disaster, Erdogan said, "Praise be to Allah. There is almost no tent city left in Gaziantep anymore. Everywhere has been paved with container cities. We have completed the debris pavement works everywhere except Hatay. Construction of our new residences in every corner of the earthquake zone. 

We enable our 3.5 million citizens to continue their lives by meeting all their needs in temporary shelters. With the improvement of the conditions, life in our region gradually began to return to its normal course. Hopefully, by this time next year, all our cities will regain their former vitality and dynamism. 

'We are setting up a family and youth bank.'

Explaining that a family and youth bank will be established with the income of Black Sea gas and oil production, Erdogan said, 

"Have we put Black sea natural gas at the top of our priorities with our vision of the Century of Turkey?

We have put Black Sea natural gas at the top of our priorities. Whether the opposition believes it or not, we brought Black Sea natural gas to land, Alhamdulillah. 

Do you Know what we do with some of their income ?

We are establishing the family and youth bank. On the one hand, the Black Sea natural gas, on the other hand, the oil that will come out of the land in Gabar. With these, Turkey is now moving to the future in a much more dignified and more determined way.

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and AFAD, the foundations of permanent disaster houses were laid at the beginning of March with the completion of the ground surveys.

Village-type permanent disaster houses were completed in 44 days in a record time, with ground surveys in TOKI standards, on rocky ground, raft foundation, and reinforced concrete.
